Description

LBN 438 is a very faint dusty nebula located in the Lacerta constellation whichis also known as the sand worm nebula. It is illuminated radiation known as Extendend Red Emission (ERE). At the top of the nebula is reddish glow, which I presume is due to ERE. The nebula is surrounded by very bright blue stars wich can detract from the relatively faint nebula. If you look closely at the background you will also be able to see various small background galaxies .
I hope you like it . CS Armin
